‘Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.’ – Mahatma Gandhi

We aren’t like those young, naive fitness bloggers craving fame and attention. We have experience. We didn’t make this blog, our App or this page to boost our own ego or to get famous. We have one goal: To improve you and your life. Here are our stories.

Helen:

My love for biking started when I was in secondary school. My mentors were my P.E teachers. I admired them and thrived from their encouragement. To this day, I believe I am a better person and athlete because of them. I wanted to do for others what they had done for me and my dream to inspire and guide novice bikers has been a strong one all my life. I am also very passionate about cooking and baking and have to say that comes from my parents. I was always in the kitchen with my Mum cooking and experimenting with new healthy recipes. Cooking and baking are very therapeutic and relaxing for me. I believe health and fitness should be accessible for everyone. I also feel this app is the start of great things for both you and me. My goal for the blog is to offer an app to completely support your biking workout with helpful tips on technique, locations and the latest technology. I’m very excited about ijustbiked and what it will be able to provide in the future.

Mike:

Ultimately my passion for health and fitness started, like most young boys in the UK, playing football with my classmates at school. However, I knocked it on the head the moment I discovered biking. After I studied at University, I went on to make one of the best decisions of my life – starting a personal training course. From this I worked as a self employed personal trainer for many years. My main passion is biking and from this and after meeting Helen and Steve we decided to start up ‘ijustbiked’. My goal is to help as many people as I can to become the fittest, strongest and healthiest version of themselves through bike training.

Steve:

Living a healthy, balanced lifestyle and fitness are very important to me and are incorporated into my daily life. I have been in the fitness industry for almost 8 years already. Time flies when you love your job. I thoroughly enjoy helping others reach their fitness goals and to witness the positive changes that bike training does for them. To balance bike training with work and my personal life is hard, but like most people I take it a day at a time and continue to learn and improve everyday. I am also fortunate enough to be working on the ‘ijustbiked’ app with Helen and Mike who are determined, focused individuals and inspirational athletes.  I really hope this blog helps motivate and encourages you to choose goals and take one step at a time to reach them. We are all definitely stronger than we think!
